Teije TerhorstProject Developer

Teije works as programme and project developer for Waag's Smart Citizens Lab and Urban Ecology Lab. His aim is to develop projects that improve citizens and non human entities' democratic positions towards and/or by using technology. In this, technology and citizen science are of great importance.

Teije has previously worked for a local government on programmes regarding inclusive digital education. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Media Studies and a master's degree in Political Theory, both from the University of Amsterdam. Next to his work at Waag, Teije is involved with Voedselpark Amsterdam, a grassroots initiative striving towards commons-based regenerative urban agriculture for the city of Amsterdam.
