In a rapidly changing digital world, a gap is threatening to emerge: higher education and vocational training in the cultural and creative sector are struggling to keep pace with the growing demand for AI skills. Designers, architects and creative professionals lack the knowledge and tools to effectively integrate artificial intelligence into their working practices, whilst the industry is in desperate need of these skills.
The RenAIssance project aims to bridge this gap. Within this project, we are working with European partners to develop a structured, AI-driven training framework that prepares creative professionals to work with various AI applications. By offering specialised training programmes at all levels (EQF 3 to 8), participants learn how to integrate these applications – such as generative creativity, digital fabrication and sustainable design – into their work. At the same time, the project identifies critical skills gaps and builds bridges between education and industry through pilot projects and recognised certifications.
In this way, we support a new generation of creative professionals, equipped with relevant AI skills, and a European creative sector that is future-proof and remains globally renowned and competitive.
