Full circle! For the past three years, Waag, Pakhuis de Zwijger, BMA Techne and Gemeente Amsterdam have worked on creating more circular textile (waste) streams in the Metropole Area of Amsterdam. What is needed for a sustainable city with less textile waste? We already started off with a few steps in the right direction.
This led to a diverse set of initiatives that will be showcased on Tuesday evening 19 April from 19:00 hours through the whole building at Pakhuis de Zwijger. From the publication of the RELOW booklet to the kick-start of the Swapshop at the Haarlemmerdijk, and from closing the DENIM Deal with entrepreneurs to the exciting textilerace to gather textiles at schools, from the development of circular isolation gowns to, last but not least, a discount at the tailor with the Citypass Deal.
REFLOW Circular Textile Festival is the place to be for professionals and everyone who's interested in a sustainable and circular clothing and textiles industry. Visitors are invited to follow a repairing workshop from Waag's TextileLab, to join into discussions with experts in talks, to watch a circular fashion show and an exhibition, and to trade your old clothes for new pearls at the Swapshop. One man's trash is another man's treasure!
Entrance
Free, but take at least 1 piece of clothing that you would like to swap, repair or hand in. Register. This event is in Dutch. For more information on the program, go to the event in Dutch.
