We make

Owing to its roots in the hacker movement, Waag is convinced that we can make almost anything with the help of digital fabrication, open-source hardware, and the sharing of knowledge. Make focuses on manufacturability within technology, biotechnology, textiles, and ecology. We research materials, material flows, manufacturing, and production processes as well as the social and ecological meaning and future impact of these materials and processes. Through our research, we collaborate frequently with (and offer accommodation to) designers and artists working at the intersection of art, technology, and science.
